Visual Merchandising for a Consumer Electronics Giant
Objective
The key objectives of the project were as follows:
- Sourcing of visual merchandisers along with their training
- PoSM deployment adhering to brand guidelines
- PoSM logistics management
- Auditing the brand visibility in retail outlets
- IT system development for automatized reporting, project management & communication
Approach
10 days TAT for pan India PoSM deployment was the key challenge in this project. Major activities in project execution were as follows:
- Delivery of PoSMs to local hubs
- Hiring, training and on-boarding of visual merchandisers
- Planning at remote and upcountry areas
- Material pickup from local hubs
- PoSM deployment, PoSM optimization and PoSM allocation
- Managing end to end accountability for the different PoSM deployments in markets across India
Outcome
The project met its objectives and key highlights were as follows:
- Successful launch of recently added products
- 90% TAT adherence for PoSM deployment
- Uniform visibility across all retail outlets in India within 10 days
- Improved consumer awareness about product line
