Visual Merchandising for a Consumer Electronics Giant

Objective

The key objectives of the project were as follows:

  • Sourcing of visual merchandisers along with their training
  • PoSM deployment adhering to brand guidelines
  • PoSM logistics management
  • Auditing the brand visibility in retail outlets
  • IT system development for automatized reporting, project management & communication

Approach

10 days TAT for pan India PoSM deployment was the key challenge in this project. Major activities in project execution were as follows:

  • Delivery of PoSMs to local hubs
  • Hiring, training and on-boarding of visual merchandisers
  • Planning at remote and upcountry areas
  • Material pickup from local hubs
  • PoSM deployment, PoSM optimization and PoSM allocation
  • Managing end to end accountability for the different PoSM deployments in markets across India

Outcome

The project met its objectives and key highlights were as follows:

  • Successful launch of recently added products
  • 90% TAT adherence for PoSM deployment
  • Uniform visibility across all retail outlets in India within 10 days
  • Improved consumer awareness about product line
